Two Frogs

            Once upon the time, two frogs had live in a village all their lives. They thought, they would like to go and see the big city that was about ten miles away.

            They talked about it for long time and at last they set off to the city. It was a hot day, and they soon began to feel tired. They had only gone a little way when one said to the other.

            “We must be nearly there, can you see the city ?”

            “No !.” said the other frog. “ But, if i climb on your back, i might be able to see it.”

            So, he climbed up on the back of the other frog to the city. Now, when the frog put up his head, his eyes could not see what was behind and not what was in the front of. So, he saw the village they had just left.

            “Can you see the city ?”. Asked the frog who was below.

            “Yes.” Answered the frog who had climbed up.

            “I can see it. It looks just like our village.” Said him.

            Then the frogs thought that it was not word while going any further. They went back and told the frogs in the village  that they had seen the city and it was just like theirs.

The Magic Candle

            One day, a young wonderer got lost in a wood. Suddenly, he saw light from an old hut. He knocked the door and an old woman opened it. She was crying. She said that the devil had stolen her magic candle. The candle could grant anything she asked. The wonderer asked her where the devil lived.

            “In a castle not far from here.” Said the old woman.

            The wonderer went to the castle. There he found the devil, but he was old and weak. Therefore, when the wonderer grabbed the magic candle from the devil’s table and away, the devil couldn’t chase him.

            However,the wonderer wasn’t a good man. Instead of returning the magic candle to the old women, he kept it for himself. He it the candle and made a wish,

            “I want to go far away from here.” Suddenly, the genis appeared him to a beautiful palace. There was party in the palace. The wanderer wanted to make some money, so he lit the candle again and wished for some jewelry. He sold them to the guest and was soon making a lot of money. Then, the beautiful princess came to buy the jewelry but there was nothing left. Therefore, the wanderer gave her the other jewelry. The wanderer fell in love with her and asked to marry him at once. The kind princess said yes and they got married.

            In his happines, the wanderer told to the princess about his adventure with the magic candle.

            “Darling, do you know how i can marry you with a lot of jewelry ? how can i have a lot of  money ?”. He started to explain.

            “I know whatever you do, i keep love you but you mustn’t steal someone’s health.” She answered. The case i stole the old woman’s magic candle and then... i..” he did’nt continue his speech. Hearing that, the princess got very angry. At night, she lit the candle and wished that the wanderer disssapeard. The next morning, the wanderer awoke and found himself back in his ugly, house in the village.

The Smart  Mousedeer

            One day, while a mousedeer was walking in the forest , he saw a big black snack sleeping under the tree. When he saw the snack, the mousedeer was frightened. When he wanted to run away from the snack, he suddenly feel on the top of a tiger which was sleeping not far from the snack. The tiger woke up and took hold of the mousedeer. He told the mousedeer that was going to eat him for lunch.

            “Please, don’t eat me now !”, said the mousedeer. “I Have something important to do.”

            “Look,” said the mousedeer.  “That is the king’s belt. He asked me to stay here and watch it while he was away in the forest.” The tiger looked at the snack and said, “That is a beatiful belt. I need a belt like that. Can i wear that ?” he asked the mousedeer.

            “Oh.. all right,” Said the mousedeer. So, he picked up the snack and winded it around the tiger.

Then the snack woke up and saw the tiger. The snack twisted itself tigher, until the tiger couldn’t breathe. The tiger asked the mousedeer to help him. But the mousedeer turned and run away into the forest.

The Smartes Parrot

            Once upon the time, a man had a wonderful parrot. There was not other parrot like it. The parrot could say every word, except one word. The parrot wouldn’t say the name of place where it was born. The name of the place is Catano. The man tired to teach the bird to say Catano, however the bird not say the word.

            At first, the man was very nice to the bird but, then he go very angry.

            “You stupid bird.” Pointed the man to the parrot.

            “Why can’t you say the word ? say Catano, or I kill you.” The man said angrily. Althought he tired hard to teach, the parrot wouldn’t say it. The man got so angry and shouted to the bird over and over.

            “Say Catano or i kill you !”. The bird kept not say the word Catano.

            One day, after he had been trying to many times to make the bird say Catano, the man got really very angry. He could not bear it. He picked the parrot and threw it into the chicken house. There were four old chickens for next dinner. “ You are as stupid as the chickens. Just stay with them.” Said the man angrily. Then he countinued to humble.

            “You know I will cut the chicken for my meal. Next it, will be your turn, i will eat you too., stupid parrot.” After that, he left the chicken house.  Some minuted, He opened the door and was very surprise. He could not believe what was he saw at the chickens house. There were three death chickens on the floor. At the moment, the parrot was standing proudly and scream at the last old chicken and say, “Say Catano, or i kill you.!”

Roro Jongrang

            Long time ago, there was a daughter of a giant king in central Java called Prabu Boko. She was very beautiful princess. Her name is Roro Jongrang. She had a propose from young noble Bandung Bondowoso. He was handsome, weathly and powerful but Roro Jongrang didn’t want to marry him.

            Roro Jongrang gave a task to Bandung Bondowoso. He had to make 1000 temples in one night, to prepare his marrriage to Roro Jongrang. Bandung Bondowoso used his supranatural force to call genis  and they made the temple in unbelieve speed.

            Roro Jongrang used the classical tacticsto sweep away the genis. She ordered her servants to help her hit the rice punchers  and made the sound of cooking so the genis thought morning had come and they run away.

            Bandung Bondowoso was so angry with her act. He already finished 999 temples and when he built the 1000th he cursed Roro Jongrang into it.

Extreme Moment

            It was the begining of july, my parents and I were in a place heading home from vacation.

            A crew annouced the passenger that we were going to land in the airport in few minutes. While listening to the announcement, I was looking outside throught the window and saw look dark the sky was. It was raining heavily and listening lightnings sparked to here and there.

            Suddenly, I felt the plane went bumpy. The impact was low at the begining, however it gradually become trerrible. Everthing shook terribly. People started to scream in fear. I hold my parent’s hand. I heard my dad was praying while my mom tired to shoothe me.

            Fortunately, our plane landed safely at the airport under that he extreme weather, i thanked God for saving my parents and I.

The Paddy

Last summer, when mom and dad weren’t felling well, Tom taking his dog, Paddy for a walk. Suddenly, there was rabbit running across the path they were taking. Paddy barked very loud and scared the rabbit ran into the bushes. Althogh Tom was tryimg hard to grib a collar, Paddy was running after the rabbit. That was the last time he saw the Paddy.

He tried to look for him for days. Finnaly, five week later, when Tom was out for coffe at Motorway Cafe, his parrent called. They were having lunch when they herad a dog barked outside the house. The hurriedly went out and there was Paddy wigling his tail.

That Sunday evening, I felt tird after hanging out the whole day with my friends at the mall. As soon I arrived home, I hung my jacket on a hanger and got ready to take a rest. Suddenly, I rememberd that I had to call a friend. I looked for my cell phone everywhere but couldn’t find it. I was getting panicky. I asked everyone in the house wheather they knew where my cell phone was bu no one knew. Well, I lost it I thought. Then I had an idea. I asked my brother to call my cell phone. To my suprise, i heard it ringing in my jacket. My cell phone was there.

My Birtday

Last Saturday night, I got my a birtday party in vitation from my best friend, Dodi. The party was held in the cafe. I was so excited because I heard that there was always a live show in the cafe and I had never been there before.

The party started at night in the evening. The food and the drink were great. But my friend and I keep wathcing the band prepareing themself, we couldn’t wait for the show begining. Finally, the show started. The musicians were playing the instruments to open their performance. The vocalist was about to sing the lyrics when suddenly the light went out.

The room become completely dark. Then, the people started to grumble. Oh My God, finnaly, we celebrate the birtday under the light ofsome candles and of course no music.

Hide And Seek

            When I was kid, I used to play in the yard hide and seek with my friends. We used to play in the yard behind my house. The yard was perfect place because it was surrounded by dense banana tree.

We usually played until late the night. One day, when I was trying to find to hide among the banana tree, I slipped and feel into the river. I used to take a bath at the river, but never at night. In the dar, everything looked diffrent. I couldn’t thimg clearly, I felt something tickling my feet. I was struggling to go out., but my feet were trapped in the mud.

Thanked God, a friend finnaly came and helped me. He then cald others and I saved.
